Intel iGPU drivers > Nvidia drivers (ASUS website Win 8.1 version) > Nvidia 353.62 (latest version) Not sure if this is still relevant, but this is the order I installed the drivers: Select Graphics Options (down arrow)Ĭhange DVMT allocation from "64MB" to "128MB" Switch to the "Advanced" tab (right arrow). In the boot menu, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > UEFI Settings (iirc) Start button > Power > Hold "Shift" then click "Restart". This is an extremely narrow range which indicates that the Nvidia GeForce GT 740M performs superbly consistently under varying real world conditions. I actually had the exact same problem as you did. The range of scores (95th - 5th percentile) for the Nvidia GeForce GT 740M is just 2.46. I've attempted to flash the bios several times with new bios version on the ASUS website, but i keep getting an "incorrect model name" error, and it will not let me flash it. I have searched around online for hours and, though many people have had this issue, i haven't found an answer that works for me. I have tried reinstalling standard nvidia drivers, the drivers from the ASUS website for my laptop, restarting, and rolling back to a restore point, none of which worked. Gaming benchmarks indicate its Performance is over 15 better than the older GeForce GT 650M. The only way I can use my computer is with my integrated intel graphics, however i cannot play games at reasonable framerates with this. GeForce GT 745M is essentially a fast GeForce GT 650M. I can open Geforce Experience, but it cannot detect my graphics card there In Device Manager there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it beside the GT 745M, I can not access the NVIDIA control panel.

The second time I had this issue I was able to roll back to before i had the issue with a System Restore point, however after upgrading to Windows 10 my latest restore points are 2 weeks ago, and neither of those roll backs fixed anything. The first time I had this issue, i was able to fix it by factory resetting my laptop (Asus Q550LF), however after upgrading to Windows 10 I am no longer able to do that. I am running Windows 10, however i have had this issue twice (2) before on windows 8.1.
